High School East students became teachers for a day on Monday, as they visited Dogwood Elementary School to teach students about financial literacy. East students taught lessons and played games aimed at teaching the younger students about saving, earning and spending responsibly.
The endeavor is part of the Junior Achievement High School Heroes partnership, which provides leadership and development opportunities to high school business students who deliver programs in elementary schools.
The high school students had their younger friends take imaginary pizza orders, make "pizzas" to match the order numbers and figure out how much money they've collected.
